Buxton Annual Really Arduous Cycling Event

Well about 25 of us turned out for the annual handicap R.A.C.E.  Unfortunately I was out training really hard and so missed any action shots and by the time I came in just about everyone was finished.  Will Gray was first senior home.  Congratulations Will, not that it is a race or anything. Also a fantastic ride by Michael Murdoch who was first home but as a Junior invited rider, had to settle for the glory.

Here's the starting point for the R.A.C.E Here's the handicapper's hastily fine tuning the starting order.
Here's Dave.  Think about Sandy after the race Mate ! Here's Janelle, raring to go. Janelle rode like a demon and pulled me along.  I was so grateful to have a partner having done the last 2 years by my Pat Malone.
"Here's the Slapper.  "What's everyone stressed about?  I'm not worrying till I've had my cup of tea."  Slapper then took Will and the boys for a drive to show them Hilltop about 20 mins before the start of the race.  Then true to form, the Slapper missed yet another start but then again it may have been worth it because that intell might have helped Will Gray (pictured far left), win the race.

Here's the highlight of the day, that bloody hard ride over we all settled back to enjoy a nice dinner and I washed mine down with several house largers Here's the boys enjoying themselves.  Obviously Spongee is not thinking about that Higher School certificate exam tomorrow.
Here's a Tony Horneman type elevated shot.  I had to do a balancing act to get this shot so I hope you guys enjoy it Yes, I know there is about 5 empty schooner glasses right in front of the spot where I am supposed to be sitting but I can assure you all that at least one of em is not mine.

We all had a fantastic time and want to see more club members at Buxton next year.
