HAIL THE
EIGHT WONDER OF THE WORLD
To those who missed this event, my sincere commiserations because you
missed a magnificent day. Conditions were almost perfect at this
beautiful venue on what could only be described as a glorious day. The
only disappointment was that no one had a camera to capture the magnificent
event. As for the racing, what can I say but "HAIL THE EIGHT WONDER OF THE
WORLD" This name, coined by race commentator Paul Craft some time ago,
aptly describes the phenomenal Barry "Bazza" Mourad. Bazza absolutely
blitzed the field well over a minute faster than his nearest rival. For
the first time that I can ever remember, B graders outnumbered A graders in the
top five and of course Bazza has won the prestigious 20km RBCC
Time Trial award as a B grader. Congratulations Bazza.
