Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4

DAY 4 - JINDABYNE TO THREADBO

We set out on day 4 from the township of Jindabyne with the aim of having a coffee at Threadbo Village and then returning.  Some of us were very tired however after 3 previous gruelling days (Especially Team Hubbard !)

The ride proceeded up the mountain in little groups.

Some groups (largely composed of Team Hubbard members) cheated and set out early.  Rocky's unmistable posterior can be seen hiding at the back of this group above.

This was the view at "THE BACK" of the first big climb.

This was the view near the front of the big climb with Laura giving many of the lads a hill climbing lesson.

Spongee looked fairly comfortable up near the front.

So too did Pat Naughton

"Sneaky" Pete Lynch was unbelievably fit on this trip and put some distance into a few of the lads.

Here's big Chris "Thunder Thighs" Reynolds giving Anthony "Spurge" Spurgeon a hill climbing lesson.

Mick "Big Bird" Murdoch was taking things very easily this day and had plenty of time to pose and smile for the camera.

Although Rosanna Fortuna was doing it tough she still put about 200 metres into Rocky.

Here's Frank Fortuna setting a pretty steady tempo up the climb

An attack.  Up out of the saddle, grit the teeth and onwards and upwards. I think that blur in the background about 100 metres is Rocky.

Here's John Hadley closely followed by young Tom Patton

Well after the big climb there was a little downhill section.

But not long after that if was back to the grind and onwards and upwards.

Little Tommy Patton takes the Polka-dot jersey for the day

The team at Threadbo enjoy a well earned coffee.  Where's team Hubbard?  Well we are enjoying ours in Jindabyne

So what did Tommy do after 4 days of climbing mountains?  He ended up competing in a downhill mountain bike comp.

Here he is descending like a blur

If only Rocky knew that these were around.

Here's the "Love Shack" whilst all of you guys were packed into the Three Way Inn (HQ), us oldies enjoyed the love shack - secret location.

As the sun sets on Lake Jindabyne at the end of  yet another glorious day, we bid farewell to this beautiful place till 2005.
