Where are we:

The Randwick Botany Cycling Club is located in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney,  New South Wales, Australia. The Club caters for all classes of riders including Juniors, Women, Men and Masters Divisions. Racing is conducted at the Heffron Park Criterium track every Saturday afternoon. Junior racing commences at 12.30pm and the seniors (D, E & F grades) start at 2.00pm and (A, B & C grades) at 3.00pm. (3pm, 4pm & 5pm during daylight saving times).  Racing is open to all riders and all clubs providing that you are affiliated with the Australian Cycling Federation and have a current racing license.  All levels of rider ability is catered for with races being conducted for Grades from A to F.  If you do not have a license why not  join up.

The  Heffron Park circuit is a 2.04km criterium circuit that will test your cornering skills. If you are in need of some cornering practise then this is the course for you.  There are 8 right handers and 4 left handers.  All are sharp.  Most are  90 degrees with one 180 degree corner. The track is about 6 metres wide at most points allowing a 2 a breast group to overtake a slower 2 a breast group in relative safety even through the sharp corners.  The surface consists of mainly concrete with some sections of bitumen.  The surface is relatively fast allowing for good speed.

After the race members adjourn to the club room where there is always a cold drink in the fridge, or tea and coffee if you prefer.  It's a great social atmosphere.  The President, John Buckton and Secretary Joanne Buckton are always on hand to lend any advise to new members.  Our Secretary, Joanne Buckton, is there nearly every week of the year to assist with all membership and administrative enquiries that you may have.
