Eight Randwick Botany riders represented the club at the Fearnes Coaches Junior 2 Day Tour at Wagga on 4th & 5th May 2002. Belinda Angwin (U17), Andrew Young (U15), Pita Vea (U15), Tamas Bykerk (U13), Max Gueniev (U13), Robert Cater (U17), Michael and Thomas Murdoch (U17) represented RBCC at the Wagga Wagga CC Junior 2-Day Tour on 4/5 May 2002. The tour comprised four stages including two road events, a criterium and time trail. Over 300 competitors from NSW, VIC, ACT & NT took part in the Tour, with non-stop racing over the weekend. Robert Cater finished sixth in the U17A General Classification. The level of racing was of a high standard, with only 15 seconds between the top 12 riders. Excellent riding by Robert in this strong field of competitors. Michael Murdoch picked up a second place in the third stage 58km U17B road race, in a strong finishing field, with a front wheel being the difference between first and second place. Michael was placed fifth overall in the U17B General Classification. All RBCC riders acquitted themselves very well and were a credit to the club. Thanks to Peter Zala, the RBCC Junior Development Officer, for once again giving up his time freely to attend the tour and support the juniors over the weekend.
