REPORT

Sorry no action shots this week as Rocky and Tony were away and I was busy having a race as well.  Commiserations to the King of Heffron, Anthony Spurgeon.  I knew something was wrong when I saw Spurge ringing the bell with one to go.  Late nights and the demon amber has a tendency to diminish one's performance slightly.   The two Masil boys got the better of the Randwick Botany A Graders this week with Liam Kelly finishing in third and Robbie Cater in fourth.

Congratulations to Kevin Black for a fine win in B grade.  Thanks to Mark Taylor for a great lead out.  I got onto Mark's wheel and he towed me up nearly the entire straight.  We were never going to get Kevin though as he had managed a twenty metre gap on us.  I was a little concerned as whilst I was having a dream run behind Mark, I was very conscious of Chris White sitting right on my wheel and knowing from past experience of his expertise at coming over me right on the line.  Bit of bad luck though, Chris punctured right in the middle of the sprint.  He still managed however to role in in fourth place on the rim.  Didn't see much more of the B Grade race as I was hiding down the back the whole time. Sorry guys, I'll do a turn next week, promise.

New RBCC member Dunstan Bertschinger, absolutely tore C Grade's legs off according to reports.  He did some huge turns which had them gasping for breath.  Then about two to go, he put in another big one and surged off the front.  Tony Caruana, who rarely misses a break was right on the back of him only to have Dunstan drive so hard that he rode Tony off his wheel and Tony had to settle back down and wait for the peleton.  Apparently Dunstan, congratulations are in order.  Welcome to B grade.

Congratulations to relatively new RBCC member, Andew Hall who took out D grade.  Andrew's daughter was happy to get into the podium shot with daddy.

The girls cleaned up E grade with Julia Guinan first and Sandie Jeffrey in her first ever race getting second.

We asked Ross if he minded getting beaten by a couple of girls.
