REPORT

This year's Grafton to Inverell winner, Pete "The Machine" McDonald turns on an attack as Matty Lucas looks to see who's going with him.

The strain tells on the faces of Anthony "The King" Spurgeon, Mark "The Slapper" Robertson and relatively new A grader, Chris "Break a leg" Young.

David Tracey got away as everyone marked "The Machine" but then Pete launced off the front of A grade and bridged across what I thought was an impossible gap to once again gain contact with David.  The two then worked together till the end.

The finish and Pete raises his hands in victory as Dave Tracey cruises in for 2nd place.

A big field contested the B grade event.  Left the bunch is strung out as the pace is put on over the first pimple and into the wind.

Kev Black looks very stylish as he tests the legs of the B grade group up the formidable "Pimple".  Richard Westmoreland (2nd wheel) had a great ride for his first run in B grade.

Congratulations to Crispin Arnell with a fine sprint in B grade narrowly edging out Nathan Saunders in second place and great ride in third place RBCC junior Luke Davison.

C grade action as the bunch goes up the pimple.  Hang on !  What's Rocky doing at the back.  He started in B grade.

It wasn't long ago that the phrase, "Wait for Bucko" was a regular cry.  Lately it is "Wait for Rocky"   Watch out though as I am informed that the  "Rock Star" is on a secret diet and he will be ripping everyone's legs off in no time at all.

Ex RBCC member Con Karantonis who now resides in WA took out the C grade sprint.  We made Con feel right at home with strict instructions to the field to let him win.  Hope you enjoyed it Con.

Just joking you won it fair-dinkum Con.  Good on you mate.

Left, Leeane Emery takes out the E grade sprint.  Good one Leeanne.

It was good to see Robbie Cater back on the bike after having to take some time off due to illness.  Team FRF looked pretty formidable as usual. From Left Robbie Cater, Chris "Spongee" Jenkins and Pete "The Machine" McDonald
