REPORT
|
 |
A grade was
fast and furious this week with Peter "The Machine"
McDonald dishing out the pain which effected a break up of
the A grade bunch. |
| |
|
|
 |
It wasn't long before the A
bunch broke up with 4 away and another bunch chasing.
Picture left shows the 4 riders away whilst Mum and
Grandfather of Matt Lucas (one of the 4 away), look on. |
| |
|
 |
Aaron Castles worked well
driving the chase group along, however they were not able
to pull back the escapees. |
| |
|
|
 |
There was quite a large B
grade field which stayed together to the last.
Eventual winner Chris Reynolds can be seen sitting close
to the front. |
| |
|
|
 |
Chris Reynolds flew home
unopposed after a fabulous lead-out from his coach, Frank
Fortuna. Frank actually led him out in the straight
this week rather than the netball courts. |
|
Frank had a great ride as
well, cruising in for second even after leading Chris out
in the sprint. |
| |
|
|
 |
The Sydney boys, Rhys and
Anton, dictated the C grade race and then managed to come
first and second. Where's our RBCC C graders ? |
| |
|
|
Sorry D & E grade, you might have to have a chat to our
resident club photographer, Mr Horneman. He is not
big on the action shots in D & E grade.
Congratulations to Leo Jaegli winning E grade. It
was a real family affair with Leo's grandson, Ryan
(pictured in the E grade podium shot left) also having a
fine ride and taking out the Junior 4km handicap as well
as one of the sprints in our Junior sprint competition. |

This gorgeous machine was
photographed by Tony on the start line. You will see
more and more of them getting around. The entire FRF
team are now on
carbon Argon18 bicycles with
Velomax wheels (our
club sponsor). You can see both the Argons and
Velomax wheels at
Cheeky Monkey (our other club sponsor). |
