REPORT

Chris White on the starting line is eager to go.  He just can't get enough of the combined A/B racing.  Congratulations to our winners, all three of whom are in the RBCC Elite team.  Well we will excuse Luke our U 17 rider but as for Nathan and Brent, Josh Marden could really have done with a little of his team around him up at the Hunter open.  Let's get our ENTIRE team at the next open eh guys??

Here's the cheer squad.  Great to see Dane Firth out and about.  Dane suffered horrendous injuries when he was knocked off his bike whilst in the breakdown lane of Foreshore Road.  As many of you know I too was the victim of a car whilst in a bunch ride in the cycle/breakdown lane of Southern Cross Drive.  I often get asked, Who is Carroll & O'Dea Laywers on our club kit?

The answer is a very helpful and professional legal firm that assists our club. In fact Carroll & O'Dea are now sponsoring the Sydney Road Titles to be run at Heffron Park on 7 May.  One of the partners of Carroll & O'Dea, Howard Harrison is a member of Randwick Botany and is managing my accident case.  Couple of points here:  1- Never assume you are safe in the breakdown lane of major roads. 2- If ever you do have a accident involving a motor vehicle (and I hope you never do), it is much better to deal with a solicitor who is actually a bike rider,  does bunch rides and who knows something about bikes.  I can fully recommend our sponors Carroll & O'Dea Lawyers.

Not at all surprising to see Andy Portess on the winners podium in C Grade.  Andy is really fit at the moment, in fact a couple of seasoned veterans a bit of a lesson at the RBCC club championships held at Dunc Gray as well.

Our self appointed C/D grade correspondent, George Takaris, filed this report:
" Not much news from me this week, the pace was just too fast for me in C Grade and I pulled out after 8 laps. Was too stuffed to notice what was going  on.

In D Grade, can you just mention that Barry Mourad is always the bridesmaid, he's always placing well but not winning. He will be up in C Grade soon with me, he's on 18 points I think. Not much time left to win!

Well I thought that George's comments demanded a photo so here is big Bazza with the Bridesmaid bouquet. Second again Bazza.  I can tell you however that big Bazza went out on Sunday in the RBCC club championship with lucky number 13 on his back and cleaned D grade up.  Good on you Bazza !

Good to see Big Matthew Hynes on the podium in E Grade.  Those Sunday Waterfall rides are really paying dividends Matthew.  Keep up the good work.  Well in the absence of any other grade correspondents and considering that I was in Newcastle and didn't even see this week's racing, that's about all I can say about this week.  So until next week, stay upright.
