REPORT
The usual Heffron gale was upgraded to Hurricane this week but
that did not deter our local dare devil riders as they moved
about in the cross winds, almost stopped in the headwinds, and
set speed records downwind. The fields were
significantly smaller this week and with the riders going off
the back one by one, sometimes 2 and 3 at a time, there were
only a handful of riders left in each grade. Accordingly there
were little safety concerns given the race situation and all
grades were allowed to compete over full distance.

A grade broke up very early with Dave
Whyman and Stewart "Computer" Campbell working together for
almost the entire race. In the end Dave turned on the
pace and Computer was happy to sit up and roll in for
second. |

B grade and Richard Lang moved away from
the front of the bunch early in the race and continued to
move away for the entire race. About half way through
he came running back with a rear puncture and concerned dad
Roland sang out to me as they finished changing it, "Can he
have a lap out John?" I said, "What for Roland? he's
still in front". In fact he probably could have had a
cuppa with dad and still rolled out before the rest of B
grade came around. Even with the puncture he finished
ahead by a country mile. Does this mean that you have
gone up to Under 19 gearing Richard? |

Early in the B grade race and John Boles
leads eventual winner, Richard Lang into the corner at the
end of the start/finish straight. Also in the picture
is new member Daniel Healy all in black. |

More C grade action with Karl Bellamy
leading RBCC young gun Aaron Bicknell past the start/finish
line. Aaron is getting quicker all the time and did a
fabulous one lap time of 3 mins flat which was very
impressive on Under 15 gearing. |

Here's big Andy Hall eventual 3rd place
getter in B grade, in action. Andy, wife Sharon and
the girls will be moving to Canberra end of this month and I
think we will all be very sad to see them go. |
Sorry D & E grades, no action shots of you guys this week as I
was up to my ears in 2006 affilations. Gong to be a busy
time from here on in to the end of the year with affiliations.
Just a reminder to everyone that your license runs out as of 31
Dec. Don't leave it till the "death knock". 2006
affiliations started as of 1 Oct so please renew your membership
as soon as possible and help us spread the workload a little as
well.
