REPORT

Being third week of the month, it was racing in reverse direction for A. B & C grades.  We haven't been game to try it with D, E & F who are happy to go the normal direction.  Also different this week was our photographer, Mr Ritchie Jenkins who announced early in the day, this quote (which I am pretty sure that I recollect word for word), "I am a very good photographer, I just don't know how to use this camera properly"  Well Ritchie you were not kidding.

I am not sure if automatic cameras get any easier than point and click Ritchie.  Actually there really is not such an animal as you still have to adjust for the speed of your subject and the prevailing light conditions by selecting the little running man or the night/day switch.  Then there is the zoom button where you try to get the subject when he/she is not 300 metres away.  Anyway without heaping too much more shame on poor Ritchie.

Here are some of his better shots.

Here's an example of the correct exposure (light conditions) selected.

A well focused shot.  I think that is you Jacko !!

Good use of the 10 by optical lens to zoom into the subject.

Good framing of the subject in the shot

Ritchie has mastered cycling photography and tries his hand at soccer.

Well Leanne you asked for a shot of E grade action and Ritchie delivers !!!!   (If you  click on image to enlarge to full size and then hold a magnifying glass in front of the screen), you will see that it is you DRIVING the E grade bunch down the start/finish straight.
