REPORT
Today was the first of our reverse direction, longer distance
races. A grade competing over 25 laps or 50 kilometres.
The longer distance and a generally accepted more difficult
reverse direction, saw many breaks occur. In A Grade
new RBCC member Adam Conquest got away with Anthony Bishop
and the pair coincidentally came in dead heat equal first
place. Same thing happened in B grade with Scott
McDonald & Brenand Fehon away together and unable to be
separated in the sprint finish. A great sprint for
third in the B grade peleton saw Frank Fortuna narrowly edge
out Gary Oliver. The reverse direction race will now
be a regular feature and will be conducted on the third
Saturday of each month. |

PRIZE MONEY
Don't forget that thanks to the generous support of our
sponsor FRF and in an effort to encourage more A graders
to Saturday racing at Heffron Park, the prize
money has been SUBSTANTIALLY
increased. First in A grade is $150 and $200 for
the handicap winner.
START TIMES
Randwick Botany Cycling Club conducts
racing at Heffron Park, Maroubra NSW each Saturday throughout the
year. Juniors start at 12.30pm.
Seniors D, E, & F grades will start at 2pm and
A, B & C grades will start at 3pm.
RACING SHEDULE
A handicap race for A B & C grades will be conducted on the first
Saturday of every month. Second, fourth & fifth
Saturdays will be normal scratch races. On the Third Saturday
of every month racing will be longer and conducted in reverse
direction. A grade 25 laps (50 kilometres), B grade 23 laps
and C grade 20 laps. D, E & F will be normal distance
