REPORT

Congratulations to Dave Wyman who took out  the $150 first place this week in the narrowest of margins from second place getter, Liam Kelly.

Pat Naughton backed up well after having rode the State Team Pursuit championships at Dunc Gray velodome in the morning.  He sat on the back of B grade having an easy ride and not doing much then found himself at the front in the sprint and just had to go for it.

A grade rolls out

Andrew Kirk does a hard turn to try and get back the lead A grade bunch

A grade chasers working well and getting back time on the A leaders.  Neil Morris leads Frank Fortuna

Andy Portess rode well with the Open A graders in the field.  Above A grade goes past Big Bazza who was OTA.

Pete throws a smile to camerman Warren.  Nothing to smile about Pete.  You have 2 sprinters on your tail.

Here's A grade early before Pete tore them apart as he usually does.

Club Sponsor Bike Bug. None other than the Bug himself, Tony Corrigan.  Well what can you say.  He might not stay there long in the race but he looks good at the side of the track in the new Bike Bug outfit.

Big Baz or Big Chief Jaroother as the Maroubra Bra Boys call him throws a smile ( or a stupid dumb look - I will let you judge)  to our cameraman.  What's the nickname all about?  Apparently something to do with budgie smuggling on Maroubra Beach.

Guess who one of our sponsors is?  Hint- I have 2 of them.  One is my road bike and one is my track bike.  Both are gorgeous!

PRIZE MONEY

Don't forget that thanks to the generous support of our sponsor FRF and in an effort to encourage more A graders to Saturday racing at  Heffron Park, the prize money has been SUBSTANTIALLY increased.  First in A grade is $150 and $200 for the handicap winner.

Important note:  Daylight Saving hours

Randwick Botany Cycling Club conducts racing at Heffron Park, Maroubra NSW each Saturday throughout the year. During Daylight saving hours, Juniors start at 3pm. Seniors D, E, & F grades will start at 4pm and A, B & C grades will start at 5pm.
