REPORT
A beautiful day early and a huge crowd gathered to see the 77 riders who competed.
A sprint and Luke Davison makes it look easy,
whilst Richard Lang and Joe Lewis go head to head for second place.
Roland Lang, up a grade, releases his devastating
sprint to take out the B grade event.
C grade sprint and not unrepentantly (after I
loaned him my Argon 18 Gallium), Big Bazza Mourad charges home
for first but let's zoom in (below) to the action further back
behind Barry.
Now for those of us who have wondered where Frank
Caristo has been every Wednesday morning whilst we are doing the
"Reverse Snake Pit" training ride. I can tell you that he has
been undertaking the Dave "Knuckles" Crampton Sprint Training
sessions. There he is powering home past his master for third
place whilst Knuckles displays his sprinting mastery as he
demonstrates not only to his star pupil but also to the huge
spectator gallery a perfect "Throw" for the line. Head down
arms outstretched as he heaves the bike forward in expert fashion.
The only question on peoples minds was "Why did he do it 20 metres
prior to the finish line?" Maybe it was to show Frank what to do
when he got to the line.
