Report
What
a fabulous A grade event with just shy of 30 riders. The
bigger bunch equated to a bit faster pace than normal with an
average speed of just over 42kph. Liam Kelly must have
been feeling pretty happy in a good working break of 4 about 300
metres off the front of the A grade peleton before Luke Davison
decided to blast off the front of the peleton and bridge the
gap. The rest is history.
B
Grade and it was "Clash of the Titans" as three of RBCC's best
sprinters went for it. Angad timed it best though and was
first to the line.
C
Grade and Avril Swan took a flyer 2 laps to go. In perhaps
the gutsiest ride of the day, Avril despite having not much of a
buffer in front of the bunch, was able to hold the gap right to
the finish line. Congratulations Avril.
D
grade and it looked like last weeks winners were going to battle
it out once again as they swapped off turns, 2 a way.
However Shaun Falzarano had not given up and got across to the
boys about 2 to go. In a move reminiscent of Luke
Davison's A grade victory, Shaun was able to take the sprint and
relegate last weeks victors to second and third. Where was
the rest of D grade? Well unfortunately they were blown to
pieces by the pace set early by young Brynn Bull. In fact
guys, all three of you have become a little too strong for D
grade and hence congratulations and welcome to C grade.
Thanks to Bob Bykerk who took some fabulous photos on the day.
