Report

I never thought I would see the day when Dave Early out-sprinted Dave Early and no it hasn't come yet.  Dave took a flyer on the bell and was able to hold off fast finishing Luke Davison.  Congratulations Dave.  Congratulations also to Laurie Robinson for a great third place in A grade.

Bit of controversy in B grade, and always hard with 4 grades on the track at the same time, but a group of about 6 were off the front and working hard.  Unfortunately, the chase A grade group were in the same place at the same time.  There was a series of front B passing A then A passing back and lots of crying foul by the B peleton.

At the end of the day though I was satisfied that the B lead bunch were doing their best not to get assistance from A grade and the calibre of the group with little powerhouse Sue "Shorty" Forsyth doing much of the work, would have stayed away anyway.

C grade and  Shaun Ballesty who has been racing most Saturdays since he was a junior (and that is a LOT of years) gave the young ones a bit of a lesson.

Thanks to our marshal co-ordinator, Deb Roach who came down and assisted with lap calling.

Riders Please Note-

Don't forget that you must race in your club uniform, unless entitled as a registered member of a Cycling NSW or Cycling Australian registered or International team, to wear registered team uniform.  All male (non junior) registered team members will be required to compete in the  A grade event.  Female registered team members will be allowed to compete in B grade event.

If you for any reason wish to change your grade (as recorded in the computer), you will not be allowed to at Registration.

Grade changes will only be authorised by me (John Buckton).

See you Saturday.
