THANK YOU:
Commissaires John Buckton
& Richard Jenkins.
Thanks
to Richard Jenkins who used his shiny new Liberty Wagon
(complete with a fabulous new factory fitted tow bar),
to tow the club trailer around and deploy all the safety
signs and other safety infrastructure. Oh Yes, and
Rocky went for a ride in the car as well. I
do not wish to embarrass the individual who
single handedly vacuumed the club house, cleaned out the
toilet and shower area, scrubbed the tiled floors,
dusted off the trophies (none of which have his name on
them) and took the photos. However when the President
went out to run Juniors, the Presidential chair had not
been placed in a sunny position and the clip board, pen
and stop watch was absent, as was the bell.
This person needs to pick up his act !!
Now back to competent individuals and I would like to thank Anna Fortuna for manning the canteen.
Thanks to Joanne Buckton & Bob Bykerk who manned the Registration
desk.
Thanks also to our safety marshal Dave Price and Flavio
?? Thanks to Leeann Emery for
being our First Aid Officer.

REPORT
Not sure why but all of the average speeds of
the grades were down yet it wasn't particularly windy.
There were several riders complaining that the pace of the race
was too slow. Perhaps with all the wet weather there are
lots of unfit riders at the moment happy to sit in the bunch and
not quite up to having a dig.

A Grade sprint and the two Track sprinters,
Dave Stevens and Ben Elliot blast away from the rest of the
field. Dave just edging out young Ben to take 1st place.

B
Grade and another Trackie, young Adriano Maradini turns on a
blistering sprint to take victory.

Slow race speeds means large peloton sprints
which are always a little concerning. A couple of riders
got tangled up in the sprint and whilst it is quite a rarity at
RBCC races, Grahan Ferguson and Carl Lee hit the concrete,
allowing the first 3 placegetters a clear straight to the finish
line. Thankfully both Graham and Carl were ok, except for
the obvious "Road Rash" that they will have to put up with for a
week or two. Above, winner Darren Schott turns to look at Graham
and Carl skidding down the track as he crosses the finish line
to take first place.

D grade sprint and new RBCC member Matt
Kelaher takes out the sprint with Herve Boutin and Sue Henry
going head to head for second place.

E Sprint and John Siounis narrowly beats Joe
Gatt to the line with Sandie Mackey coming in third. |
