REPORT

With all the A Opens away doing Sun Tour and other things, the A clubies got to race themselves today.  Some had a little bit of a whings about Matt Lucas and

Adam Socha but both are B open riders.

Talking about Matt Lucas and Adam Socha, they went away off the front about lap 12 and were never in doubt from then on.

Meanwhile back at the peleton which split apart in the final laps, it was Mark Ardiouan who took third place.

B grade stayed largely together for the entire race.  Whilst boxed in a little early, Sean Bloch got clear and was unable to unleash his devastating  sprint.  Dave Mackey had to just watch him go by and settle for second.  Very close third finish but Adriano Maradini got it on the line.

The only photo we have of Olivia Lucas who was whisked away after racing.  It was a big day for the Lucas family with dad Matt taking out A grade and Olivia winning 2 of the junior events.  This picture of Olivia who took a nasty spill after throwing for the line and winning Race 4 of the Junior program.  Luckily when she lost control she had washed off 1 or 2 kph off her terminal speed after having crossed the finish line and went down at about 3kph.  The main impact was taken on her left sandshoe and there was a small scuff on it.  Other than that, bike and rider were fine.

A huge crowd as always assembled to watch the racing. Sue Henry does not realise how lucky she was.  If the mounting for that Council seat broke, she could well have been launched into orbit .

START TIMES

As we are outside daylight saving, racing times are now:

Juniors start at 12.30pm. Seniors D, E, & F grades will start at 2pm and A, B & C grades will start at 3pm.

RACING SHEDULE

Scratch races for A, B, C D & E grades. An F grade will be conducted if sufficient numbers in attendance.
