REPORT

Before I get to the report I have to mention Rocky Fortuna It has been remiss or me to leave Rocky out of the race report (other than having a dig at him every chance I get) but jokes aside, Rocky works selflessly in the background.  Now that I have said something nice about him I can get back to running him down.  Perhaps you don't know this but Rocky:

bullet

Is the first to the club and opens up every week.

bullet

Takes the witches hats and trailer out of the clubhouse by himself every week

bullet

Vacummed out the clubhouse last week and informed us that it took him 3 hours

bullet

Takes the photos every week.

bullet

Empties the garbage bins every week and takes the wheelie bin out for council to pick up

bullet

Places the advertisment baricades out every week

bullet

Takes the El Presidential chair and public address system out to the start line so that I merely have to walk out and sit down.  (A cup of coffee might be nice too!!)

bullet

Is on the 2 way radio where he is first to the scene of any problem. (he did take on about 20 Bra Boys the last time I sent him to check on a problem but that's another story)

bullet

Calls the approaching bunches because the President's eye sight is not the greatest.

bullet

Was runner up in the Mongrel of the Year Award for the past 3 years.

How do I know all these things?  Because Rocky put them all in an email to me. Not sure why he reminded me that he was runner up for the Mongrel of the Year Award for the last 3 years.  Perhaps he is upset that he hasn't won it outright yet.  I can assure you Rocky you are leading the points this year !!

Now that you have had your pat on the back, can I do the Race repot !

Well with many of the A open riders off doing the Canberra Tour, we combined A Club and A open this week into a single A grade.  Dave Early tried to get away a couple of times but they brought him back.

JERSEY SPONSORS

In the end it was regular RBCC Thursday night Track Sprinter, Dave Walton from Parramatta Club who did it easy.  Fine sprint by Kevie Black to just beat Dave Early to the line for second place.

Left - Big victory for young Keiran Bull in the Seniors.  Keiran narrowly held off big John Siounis in an exciting E Grade sprint

I promoted Bazza to B grade Captain this week and told him to behave himself.  I felt that Bazza was a very suitable choice for the position as if anyone knows how to spot someone doing the wrong thing, it's Bazza.  He's done them all himself.

START TIMES

As we are outside daylight saving, racing times are now:

Juniors start at 12.30pm. Seniors D, E, & F grades will start at 2pm and A, B & C grades will start at 3pm.

RACING SHEDULE

A handicap race for A B & C grades will be conducted on the first Saturday of every month.  Other Saturdays will be normal scratch races.
