THANK YOU:

Commissaires John Buckton & Richard Jenkins.

Thanks to Rocky Fortuna who once again put us all to shame in the club management stakes. He, not only, assisted Richard in deploying all the safety equipment. He then single handedly vacuumed the club house, cleaned out the toilet and shower area, scrubbed the tiled floors, dusted off the trophies (none of which have his name on them) and took the photos and even though he had both his hands full at all times doing tasks including taking out the sponsors advertising banners, he still managed somehow  to sweep the track everywhere he went.

Thanks also to Anna Fortuna for manning the canteen.  Thanks to Joanne Buckton who despite being sick as a dog, single-handedly manned the Registration desk.

Thanks also to our safet marshal Sean O'Neill Thanks to Leeann Emery for being our First Aid Officer.

REPORT

Just 3 A opens this week.  Robbie Cater and Brendon Brooks & Nathan Rollason.  The boys worked well together to pull back the A grade club peloton which started 1 min 20 seconds in front of them.

Despite big turns by the Walton brothers the 3 A Opens kept catching at a rate of about 11 seconds per lap.

By lap 10 the A opens had caught and were now deriving the combined peloton.  After a few more laps, Robbie with Brendan second wheel had a quick look around then launched off the front and proceeded to ride away from the rest of them.

Robbie seemed to be having a nice hit out before he leaves with the team next Wednesday to compete in this year's Tour of China but did not seem to want to any more than the 18 laps as he crossed the line and immediately did a left turn towards the clubhouse.

Once again Dave Stevens showed that he was too strong in the bunch gallop to take out the sprint for 2nd place deposing Robbie's teamate Brendan Brooks to third place with Dave Walton 4th.  Once again a good mixup with 2 A opens and two A clubbies in the first 4 places.

Alex Hinds took a flyer off the front of the peleton on the bell lap and was able to hold it to the line.  Adriano Maradini (obscured) was second with Dave Mackey third.

Matthew Greenwood once again was too strong for C grade and  took out the C grade sprint.  Grade Captain was second.  Welcome to B grade Matt.

D grade action as t Bebe drives the bunch whilst Sue Henry (in second wheel above) had a very good first ever race.

Even normally calm and collected Dale can take only so much.  Rocky captured this close up after having annoyed Dale apparently beyond an acceptable point. too far.
