Proudly Sponsored by our major sponsors

&

FRF: (02) 9559 9000

The RBCC Committee is pleased to welcome a new major sponsor to the club.  FRF Couriers will be a major sponsor of the club for the next 3 years.  The sponsorship will mean many fantastic things for our club not the least of which will be a new uniform and includes substantial support for an elite team to compete at major events as well as junior development.  The club would also like to welcome new 2006 club sponsors cyclebits.com and Bike Bug onboad.  Bike Bug, is situated on the Pacific Hwy North Sydney and carries all our major sponsors bikes and products such as Colnago, Cinelli and Argon 18.  "The Bug" is offering all Randwick Botany members a 15% discount off parts and accessories and will do some excellent deals on new bikes. cyclebits.com is a online bicycle accessory store which facilitates training cyclists by providing excellent prices on consumable bicycling products such as tyres, tubes, CO2 canisters, bar tape and so on at highly discounted prices. Order online from an Australian company, and have your cyclebits arrive at your door a day or two later.

JERSEY SPONSORS

So what are the benefits of the new sponsorship agreement with FRF:

  1. Significant financial sponsorship of the club in general.
  2. New Club uniform with a more modern and professional flavour.  Uniform of high quality and subsidised to keep at low cost for members.
  3. Major sponsorship of Elite riders (subject to sponsorship guidelines and selection criteria) and possible promotion stream to the FRF/NSWIS team.
  4. RBCC will now be able to supply a development stream for riders from Juniors of 5 or 6 years old right through to A graders competing in our Elite team at the major "Classic" races.
  5. Randwick Botany Cycling Club will have more funds to assist with our Junior Development program, purchase assets and to assist the general members of the club.

So as a member what do you have to do:

  1. Train hard and perhaps one day you may be in a position to be selected in the Elite team and contest the Classics.
  2. Wear your Randwick Botany uniform proudly whether you are training or racing and in doing so support your club and your sponsor.
  3. Be a racing member or be a social member.  The choice is yours.  You can enjoy your club in any way you choose.  Whilst we would encourage members to race, there are plenty of other things to do (become an official, volunteer, etc).  Take my wife Joanne for example, even though she does not ride, she is an  accredited NSW Commissaire.  She enjoys the club immensely and assists in the sports administation side of cycling.  Everyone can enjoy the friendly atmosphere and the comradery at Randwick Botany.  You choose as to whether you want to represent your club at race meetings, enjoy your club championship competition, enjoy the training rides, enjoy the training camps, enjoy the social occasions or any or all of the above.
  4. Enjoy being a member of the Randwick Botany Cycling Club and spread the word about our great club.
