RIDE TO THE HUNTER VALLEY (23,24,25 April 2016)
Everyone LOVED our Jindabyne camp and as such we could not wait to put on another great weekend for the members. So as luck would have it we have been invited on a fantastic weekend being organised by the Manly Club.
The Manly club has kindly invited RBCC members on a Hunter Valley weekend. Your better half deserves a few days relaxing in the Hunter enjoying the finer things in life. You deserve a weekend of a couple of great rides. Ride to the Hunter on Saturday, taste wine and be generally frivolous Sunday, then ride home Monday. The ride is about 170k each way and thinking two groups, A/B and C, with a sag wagon / support. The ride is on very quiet country roads and is a very doable ride, with no climbs after Mount White. Looking at Accommodation at The Sebel, and looking to get approx half price (with all these savings imagine the extra bike components you can buy).
Whilst this is being organised through MWCC the more the merrier, so happy for you to bring friends. MWCC have provisionally arranged 20 rooms at Mercure Hunter Resort – it is very central and within walking distance of a few wineries. The room rate is 25% discounted and includes full breakfasts Sunday & Monday morning.
The rooms are the Deluxe Rooms with sunken spa etc, and the rate is $314 per night (for a couple).
The event has been set up on Try booking to register your interest.
If you would like to arrange your own accommodation, then that is no problems at all. We will be looking to have a group dinner one night at the Royal Oak Hotel – winner of best pub food on numerous occassions. On another night there is the option of a fining dining option. We would recommend making a booking at Muse Restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
During the day people can either wine tour as a group, as individuals or you can do your own thing.
If you are interested in attending then register your interest via the try booking link or let John Buckton know via the RBCC contact page.
The RBCC Christmas party and presentation award ceremony will be held at 3pm on Sunday 6 December at new venue, The Lakes Hotel at Rosebery.
Pictured above is the area which has been put aside for our exclusive use. Everyone is most welcome and I am sure that we will all have a great time. Cost is only $20 per head and we will be enjoying some delicious finger food (platters and platters of them). Kids 15 years old and under are FREE !
