After the club’s success last year in finally securing the MMAS 150+ gold medal and some great results from our other teams – we are keen to kick off this year’s event early and get some training and team building happening.
If you are interested in participating in this year’s Team Time Trial, please let us know. If you don’t already have a team, don’t worry as we will be able to put people together in teams of like ability.
The first outing for the teams will be the 43km time trial at Calga on Sunday 7 May 2017. This is a great opportunity to get the hang of riding together and work out your team strategy. It will also give you some things to work on for the next couple of months as a team.
Please respond in the next week if you are interested so that we can put some teams together and submit the team entries for Calga in good time. Any queries, please contact the DS Anna Murray – email@example.com
No racing this Saturday as the Club is supporting the B2B Festival of Cycling in Bathurst – next race: 8 April 2017
Note: Andrew Logan will still be taking the Juniors at 2pm!
Another great afternoon at Heffron Park – this time with the sun shining (well for most of the time)! Great to see many old faces and lots of new ones too.
We hosted the Women’s Come N Try Race prior to normal racing and even though we only had a few starters, I think they all had fun and learnt a lot! Thanks to Anna, Daniele and Clare for your time this afternoon helping with this Cycling NSW initiative.
Racing wouldn’t have been possible without our awesome Volunteer team and a massive thank you to Calvin Smith and his team (Stavros, Ian, Sam, Brian, Dietmar and Stew)! Matt Hynes was our wonderful Commissaire and Alex was First Aider (but thankfully not very busy!). Hope I haven’t forgotten anyone as it was a great turnout of volunteers!
Well done to all the juniors who were first down to Heffron Park and had a session with Andrew Logan – it was awesome to see so many of you!
REMINDER: NO RACING NEXT WEEK AS THE CLUB IS SUPPORTING THE B2B WEEKEND OF RACING IN BATHURST – SEE YOU ON 8 APRIL FOR THE NEXT RACE!
1st – Alex Nazarewicz (Manly)
2nd – Patrick Sharpe (St George)
3rd – Tai Huynh (North Sydney)
