Don’t forget this Saturday is your chance to race around the Eastern Creek car racing circuit on your bikes!!! The annual club champs road race will be held this Saturday, 5 August 2017.
6.30am – aim to arrive at Eastern Creek and sign on (no entry fee as Club will pay for this). Be ready at 6.50am for the start of racing.
A Grade – 10 laps
B Grade – 9 laps
C Grade – 8 laps
D Grade – 7 laps
The Club Champs is open to all RBCC members who hold a race licence and we will have A, B, C & D Grades – so don’t miss this great opportunity!
Stay tuned for an update on when the back to back crits at Heffron Park will be held – it will likely be the first weekend in October.
If you have any questions please ask Anna Murray as she will be only too happy to help!
Another top afternoon of racing with the sun shining and the wind not too bad for Heffron Park!!!
Our Volunteer team led by Mathieu Bremaud were fantastic
The racing was hard and fast in all grades – Jesse Coyle & Chris Miller were all class riding away from A grade to battle it out for the win! Perhaps a lot of A graders were absent saving their legs for BOTB tomorrow at West Head?
Both B & C grades were bunch sprints after several attacks were unsuccessful and our D graders had a solid race, coming together for a sprint finish.
Thanks everyone for coming down – don’t forget no Saturday racing next week as we are going to support the finale of the BOTB at Heffron on Sunday!!

We’re proud to be supporting The African Kit Appeal, which supports the development of cycling in Africa. The charity was launched in January, 2016 by Matt Brammeier – then a professional cyclist for the World’s first African Pro Tour team, Dimension Data. The concept is simple: ask cycling enthusiasts around the globe to donate their unwanted cycling kit to local drop off points.
As can be seen from the pictures below, David Jackson dropped off many boxes of brand new, but superseded, RBCC clothing to Attaquer who will send them to Africa, where it will be used to help young African cyclists realise their goal of one day representing their respective national teams. I don’t know about you, but we think this is a much better place for our old outdated clothing to go rather than sit gathering dust in the Clubhouse!
We have been listening to feedback and given it is school holidays, we are going to hold a Saturday morning race this week!
We will start at 8.00am for C & D Grades, to be followed at 9.00am for A & B Grades
Sign-on from 7.30am / $20 entry fee (must hold CA racing licence)
SEE YOU ALL THERE!
