PRESENTATION NIGHT 2011

Around 50 RBCC members enjoyed one ot the best Presentation Night/ Christmas Party that we have ever had.  Certainly in terms of the food which was outstanding.  The Atlantic samon was to die for. We must thank the Paddington RSL for the venue and a huge thanks to the Chef who produced a fantastic meal thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Our MC Chris White interviews Graeme Brown.  It was a big thrill for the members to have Brownie say a few words and we are extremely grateful to Brownie given he had to get home have a sleep and then get himself to Woollongong for the NSW Grand Prix.  Incidentally well done Brownie, second in the first round.

From right to left, Australian Masters cyclist of the year and dual Masters World champion, Dave Stevens.  In the middle, Gavin White current triple world champion from the recent Masters Track Worlds in Manchester and on left Michael Popplewell Bronze World Medalist at the Masters Track Worlds.  All Received their President's awards.

It was a little bit of a shock for Joanne and myself, when our MC called us both up and announced that our club has bestowed  life membership upon both of us.  I am in my fifteenth year as President of our club and I have forgotten how long Joanne has been Secretary but certainly at least 10 years. It is hard for Joanne and I to imagine life without RBCC and we are both very proud to receive this great honour. So thanks RBCC.

Our MC, Chris White proudly displays his much deserved, Club Person of the year award.  Chris has been a stalwart of the club and MC of the Presentation night for approximately the past 10 years.

Our Vice President is pictured with RBCC's champion woman cyclist, Anna Murray who took out a bag full of trophies all of which were against the men.

Ok, we have honored everyone who ought to be honoured.  You will never guess who won "The Mongrel of the Year award" He has actually disqualified himself from receiving it for the past 6 years as our rules disqualified anyone who actually sought the trophy.  Short story:  We changed the rules.  He really is a Mongrel !

My Grandson, Mac, pictured above with his mum (my daughter Kate) enjoyed the evening immensely.  Here he is pictured with his mum who was herself enjoying the evening with Marjan McGarry.

Miranda Ferguson also enjoyed the evening as mum Jenny and dad Graham looked on.
